The Colony by Hidden Fields
“A detective is sent to a colony to investigate the murder of the administrator’s wife.” From this description alone, The Colony could be a stock-standard cyberpunk adventure game. But take one look at the screenshots on the game’s itch.io page and it becomes clear that it’s something more special.
Visually it’s equal parts eerie and beautiful, with a washed-out orange hue and character models that move unnaturally and are mostly devoid of facial features. Gameplay-wise, it’s a little simplistic and on the short side, but I’d love to see a longer version. Loved it as much as I did? Also check out Mundaun by the same creator.
